Quants and Econ/Finance PhDs

I would like to know it as well. What kind of industry jobs do finance PhDs take? Since I am at the early stage of the program, if i know the requirements of representative industry jobs, I could focus my research around that area. Any insight will be highly appreciated!

DCFC, what do you mean when you say " some form of knowledge transfer"? do you mean a transfer of my own knowledge or acting as a liaison between the upcoming ECEX and others ...... and what bodies will be helpful on either way? I am currently in ATL.Thank you, DCFC.
