FE at University of Michigan-Ann Arbor

Yes, I got admission into UMich's FE program too (long time back in Feb) but I decided to Cornell's Applied OR program as of right now and am on their waiting list for FE option. Tell me if you have any other option(s) than UMich, not to say UMich is bad.PM me for more questions.

I got rejected at NYU last week. I got an email saying to look for other programs as they would not explicity say that "hey, you got rejected". Good luck for those who are "STILL" waiting.

Summer intern at Wall St

<t>I want to do a summer intern (this summer 2005) at Wall st. Is it too late right now to find an internship or should I try looking for any? If its not late, then what kinds of firms should I target. I know that most of the bulge-bracket firms hire interns in the fall before. So, can you give me a...

<t>Its a long waiting for me, especially if you don't have good options to pick from.In my case, I got into Cornell's Applied OR option and still negotiating for the FE option. The reason its not a good option is that the Applied OR's semester project is from a manufacturing firm. Not of my interest...

McGill or CMU for undergrad?

IF you have talent then you will be sure able to get into one of the good quant programs later. First, save money. This money with interest can easily pay off your grad school if you choose to go to one.

Cornell's program dilemma

<t>Hi all, I got into Cornell's MEng program but they didn't give me the FE option. Instead they asked me if I want Applied operations research option. I am not knowing what to do since the Applied OR option would allow to take the courses that FE guys take but the projects (usually 6-8 months) woul...

Fall Internship on Wall St

I just wanted to know if firms take interns in fall. I have heard of it but am not completely sure. I am pretty sure that the number of fall interns are not as high as summer hires but can anyone tell me if it is (if enough effort is put) easy to get an internship for fall.
