Did anyone receive their decision from NYU's Mathematical Finance program? I applied long back in November but haven't heard anything yet?

Rambo, you got your e-mail decision from Courant or Graduate School?I asked GSAS and got an feedback "It is the Graduate School of Arts and Science policy not to indicate decisions via email, fax, telephone or in person. ". Columbia has brand name and its curriculum is more flexible, you can choose the ones which most complement your need. while NYU program is a little bit longer but you can get an intern. Choosing which one depends what you need most. Only 2 cents.

Rambo,In my eyes, NYU suits my needs better, but I don't know what you will need. Anyway, I bet your resume/relative work experience is very appealing to Courant professors. Did you apply for UChicago?MSFEstudent, "start to review after Mar 15"? No, I think they already made the decision and will send out the letters after Mar 15. I received a letter (by mail) from GSAS: "Decision letters will be mailed begining March 15, 2005". The following weeks will be tough for us with background not as strong as Rambo.

Hi Monica:Yes, I got accepted to UChicago as well. Honestly, I don't think I have any working experience appealing to anyone: just got a couple of summer interns in Asia. Well, it is a tough decision and I have to think about it more.

For those who are still waiting for a decision letter from NYU, just relax. They have admitted only less than 20 students and will be admitting more.me? BBA from Hong Kong, MS in stats from US, no impressive working experience. i guess i was lucky.

"For those who are still waiting for a decision letter from NYU, just relax." - from Ramboj/k, Monica. I know how you feel too. I am so anxious and I am checking my e-mail and mailbox like 20 times a day...

I received your message.I don't need to check the mailbox, I open it all the time! whenever "1 new e-mail" pop up, I read it. If it is not from NYU/Chicago, I am also feeling OK, anyway it is not a deline letter. We really need relax. I decide to focus on my work for a while.

Rambo, You are really lucky dude. I am getting impatient day by day, hour by hour esp in the work hours where there is a higher prob of getting an email from the unveristy. Please inform as soon as anyone hears anything from NYU.
