I recommend you to take a look at: www.damodaran.com for some references on these issues. Damodaran's website is loaded with good material related to valuation. I also recommend his books.

Some nice thoughts jfuqua.I agree. In a nutshell, a MBA from a top school is effectively a quality stamp. I wonder if anyone has succesfully tried to market their acceptance to a top school MBA program in the quest for a job (without the actual degree)
