Can delta only be a function of price?

Can you say that the delta of an option, is only dependent on the price of an option?Another way of thinking about it:You have 2 options, they have the SAME price, but DIFFERENT intrest rates, time to expiry, etc...Will they have the same delta?

Commodity Spread Options

<t>i have been looking at pricing time spread options on commodities. And have been struggling to figure out whether method or model exists...There are several problems I am encountering...1. Most people tend to agree that the distribution is mean reverting.2. Changes in behavior could be affected b...

Lets help: Bailout Brainstorm

Get rid of the bailout first of all. and then drop the fed funds rate as lows as needed, even if it means to <1%. Allow these banks to fail, encourage lending for the new middle-market IB's that would now take their place.I also like the idea of cutting the cap gains tax.

Regulation and interference

<t>Why do we need to regulate? Let these companies act stupid if they want... The government can still control liquidity. Plus what the fuck do you think is going to happen next time? Do you think these banks believe that their actions were in their own best intrest? You don't need the government to...

Regulation and interference

<t>What is the problem with dropping the fed funds rate as much as is needed to stem a potential monetary contraction, and let these banks use that to work out their own balance sheet? If they can save themselves through by borrowing then fantastic, if not, they are screwed. Paulson wants to save hi...
