A question about rating ?

<t>Actually, it's more like these just happen to be businesses that through a combination of skill and luck end up with tons of cash, and therefore don't need to borrow. Even if they had debt, though, they would only have ratings if they requested them from the rating agencies. Note that there are s...

Leveraged Loans - What are they and what are the risks?

<t>(1) Most banks publish volumes on this stuff. Credit Suisse has a good monthly publication, and a good strategy outlook they put out at the beginning of the year. If you know anyone who works at a large investment bank, they probably work at a place that has published lots on this. (2) It is now ...

30,000 to 50,000 Citigroup employees who leave the company each year?

<t>Personally, I'm dubious about the 30,000-50,000 leaving every year claim as if this was a normal run rate. This seems high, even in an organization as large as Citi. However, it is possible it's been this high the past several years, in part because there were significant staff reductions in some...

30,000 to 50,000 Citigroup employees who leave the company each year?

30,000 to 50,000 Citigroup employees who leave the company each year?

<t>I worked there for eight years until last year, when I took advantage of what now appears to be the yearly rif in lieu of an early retirement. Last year it was about 3%-5% of the workforce--the year before that it was about the same. This one is larger and splashier, and more expensive-- that's t...

Bond Listing

<t>Usually it's a legal requirement--the bonds must be listed somewhere so that issuers can file reports to prove they're in compliance with the terms and conditions of the bonds. In places like Luxembourg, the filing requirements are actually pretty lax, but they do exist. It's pretty much legal co...
