how do you decide this?

<r>If there is just one game, you look how risk-averse (lover) you are.What you're asking is what is the probability of an event which never occurs again? And there is no events which occur exactly twice (as Traden4Alpha noticed).There may be several answers. 1) with the classial approach to probabi...

Rare Event

Looks like it...Assume the probability of the event is p.Then E(days) = p + (1-p)(1+E(days)) => E(days) = 1/p.We have E(days) = N thus p = 1/N.P(Only after N days) = (1-p)^N (I assume that this is what means by "only after N days")Thus (1-1/N)^N -> 1/e with N->\infty.

Why did you not ask it on the interview (say, what is the proportion of programming/math they are doing? Is it back/front office?) before you were offered the job?

Assuming A,B,C are uniformly distributed along the circle.My suggestions:1. zero (because the probability of any point being at a particular place is zero, and a right-angle triangle has to have one diameter side).2. 1/4 (C has to be to the right of AO and to the left of BO for any A and B).
