oh yeah, if you cant provide a solid fundamental explanation, no one will take you seriously in such settings. infact you have to hide your quantitativeness, since it is a structured and uncreative way of thought, hence the ability of being able to quantify it!

I think solid General GRE and Math GRE (if you think you can do well) scores will do you a lot of good. Your GPA isn't horrible, I've seen a couple of people of that gpa range (from IITs, with work exp) at some ivy league MBA programs!
