if isolation is such a good idea, North Korea would be paradise

Michael O'Leary
"If you are going to quote someone they should be either much smarter than you or saying something really dumb. You can quote me on that."

--- Paul Wilmott
I cannot think of anything dumb emanating from Michael O'Leary.

Besides, Boris quotes Churchill all the time..

Manuel Ostermann, deputy federal chairman of the German Federal Police Union, “The crisis in Germany's security is a direct consequence of Schengen's ineffective policies. Schengen's inability to manage migration effectively has put Germany's safety at stake. Germany must realize the current failure of Schengen and either make a concerted effort to return to the current legal situation or terminate Schengen.”

The EU's collapse is picking up pace. Probably why individual EU countries are now grovelling to the UK. Sadly, Starmer doesn't realise that's the reason, he thinks it must be his personal charisma.

This is really bad news. You wanted to be on your own, didn't you?

Zelensky wants to stop EU visas for Russians. Doesn’t want the EU to become the supermarket for dodgy rich Russians. But dodgy rich Russians are the EU’s favourite!
Keep them in London.

Don't send them to Dublin; the Russian embassy is full.
Or Little Mozcow in the Negev.

You worry too much, Paul

There'll always be an England
While there's a country lane
Wherever there's a cottage small
Beside a field of grain

Lovely!

Don't ever look up what Mario Draghi thought about Brexit.

I don't know how to take this, I almost hurt myself laughing, but...

Nick Clegg has said the UK must rejoin the European Union, claiming the bloc is on the brink of collapse. The former deputy prime minister and ex-Liberal Democrat leader said economic growth “literally went into reverse the moment Brexit happened”, adding: “Clearly the United Kingdom needs to go back.”

It's a joke, right? Fake news? Is Sir Nick "Private schools are corrosive but now I'm a rich, leftie hypocrite instead of an average leftie hypocrite, I send my child to one" Clegg trolling?
