ICE is just starting.If I happened to run into the Pretender, the Attorney General, the Secretary of State, or any of several Trumpublican Members of Congress or a couple of the Extreme Cult Jesters in a dark alley alone, I'd be tempted to try out my wushu death punch. Other than that -- which I don't expect ever to happen -- I'll wait for the brown shirts to start the violence.

Me? When I was a kid, in late 80s, my mom took me as a human shield to an anti-Communist demonstration. The violence was done by the other side, we were simply standing, singing and chanting. Seems to have worked. But sometimes you gotta burn a tyre or two (see Maidan, for example).

As far as I know, Paul can still ban whomever he wants and has done so many times in the past. You and Marsden can't.

Is it just attention whore-ism that would make someone publicly appeal to Paul about a complaint they have with the forum, or something else?

Some time back, Paul was fairly vocal (textual?) about his support for the Free Speech Union.
Maybe this is not the right forum for you if you get your knickers all bunched up over other people's comments.

The vast majority of bans have been people promoting stuff. That's very rude!
We have had longstanding, respectable, respectful, members leave because of certain people here, certain annoying idiots, so they have told me. But we haven't banned those annoying idiots.

I remember one guy I caught in the lie and one notorious psychotic stalker leaving. I imagine it was better for them to leave blaming it on a certain annoying idiot rather than stay risking the truth would come out;-)

Since this seems to come up from time to time, yes, I am mostly gone from the Forum, but I do look in occasionally.
Whatever speculative terminology might be used to refer to me, I left because it was time to go. Some years of enjoyable posting and jousting with many people, but it did go on too long (at too great a volume - haha!) and eventually time spent on social media has to fade. Covid lockdown year 2020 provided good indicators of what is and what is not worthwhile for the longer term. A good test of sports, arts like painting and spinning (wool), and reading many books that had been waiting on shelves for a long time.
I hope you are all well and happy wherever you are this spring.
