Isn't envy just a particular case of tribalism? Don't overcomplicate, even if you need to to (let this be the repeated word thread in addition to anything else) complete an acronym!

If "hysteria" could be replaced with something starting with "a," a shortened version would be "TA," which has a certain appropriateness, particularly in Britain.

But the trademarked version -- assuming an "a" replacement is found -- should have an exclamation point: "TA!"

You give your campaign contribution and your vote, and "TA!" is the last thing you hear from them until the next election cycle.

Honestly THE awesome THEory did come before THE acronym.

What about greed?

Greed is a second-order effect. That’s part of the point, Tribalism >> Greed. Plus it’s not needed as an explanation for anything. If a rich person puts his money offshore, that could be greed. So far so obvious. But a rich person gives away all his money, that’s not logical, it’s tribalism.

It does save famiy members squabbling over these assets, And you can't take it with you.

Indeed. But instead they’ll spend years in therapy. “Why did mummy and daddy hate me so much that they gave away my inheritance?”

For some the tribe is definitely not their family.
