Isn't it a bit annoying to giveaway the text of your new book to whoever before it is even published no?
Not the least, are LLMs as of today any good at whatever task?

In this case LLM would take out the drudgery of creating the index by manual labour. This is a job done by a person (e.g. author) and with better prompts it is possible to model what the reader really wants.
And you don't want to put everything into an index. Less is more.
