HiI wanna enter in the department of mathematical engeenering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology(ETHZ or EPFL)But, internationnally, I don't know if it's reputed for its maths departement.People told me that it's comparable as the Imperial College, UK or the M.I.T.Does anyone know about the reputation of this university?And how about the Swiss quant market. Do they look for financial engeneers or is it saturated?Thanks for your informations.Nishan

The picture I have gotten of ETH is that it has a very good reputation in Europe. I think from friends attending ETH that it is maths and physics which are their main strongpoints.I haven't attended the school so it's just the picture painted to me living in Sweden.

Patrick,Thanks a lot for your answer.Yes, physics and maths are reputed but you know, if ETH is famous it's thanks to reasearchs which have been done in computer science.Your are Swedish, that's cool.Why do you want to work in quant. finance?Do you know how much you can earn in this field?In Sweden?C ya
