new search page screws up old trick

April 25th, 2002, 3:27 pm

"used to be" that the old search page would allow a blank, or a period, as the keyword; so if one wanted to see all of the posts in the last "N" days one just searched for a "space" and typed in the aproriate date range . . . . the new search page wont allow blanks, or periods, or words like "the" as the keyword, and yet requires a keyword to initiate a search. Any work arounds so that i can get a listing of all the posts for the last "N" days??thanks for taking the timeTony

Several possibilities spring to mind:1. As MP says, in Customize you can limit how many days' worth of messages you can see2. Also in Customize you can limit the number of threads you can see3. You can now, again in Customize, subscribe to Categories as well as threads, so you'll get an email every time a message is posted. Store these in a folder in your mail software and then take your pick4. Visit the Forum more often! On the other hand, the search engine is now vastly improved over the earlier version...it actually works!P
