cureent/future scene

hi guys and gals..... would appreciate if you could provide some info regarding the current hiring scene for quants at the entry position. would also appreciate if you could provide some estimate for the future (in 1-2 years' time) scene.thanks and regards

It is correlated with the market as a whole. No one can predict the future so itis pointless to ask how will it be like in 1 or 2 years time. I guess that is when yougraduate, finishing your current programmes or something like that, that is why youare concerned about a few years down the road.

Let me give my magic 8ball a few shake and see what happens...What is the current scene for entry level quant jobs?Magic 8ball: try the pron industry palHmm... how about the future scene for 1-2 years down the line?Magic 8ball: refer to previous answerMy Crystal Ball broke (damn excel and those monte carlo simulations) so I had to rely on my magic 8ball.Seriously though, look at the job market and the numbers of unemployment, then match the supply and demand you see on job boards and extrapolate whatever information you want. If anythng, I'd say the job market is tough and will always be competitive in finance.
