jobs board wants quantum computing skills?

Herei dont knowthey want commerical experience so you spend 3 years in front officethey want an MSc.... so you get an MSc.they want a PhD ... so you get a PhD.they want years of commercial c++ experience, so you spend 2 years writing hardcore c++they want stats and neural networking, so you go and work developing earthquake models and using high frequency data then you find that to actually get an interview these days, you have to have experience using computer technology that isn't even invented yet. <sigh>

LOLit is the Progressive HH after all.it does say u only need satisfy some of their requirements. it would be interesting if one was to apply claiming to satisfy just one (quantum computing). Do u think we will be programming in C++ on quantum machine ? Or perhaps Windows is already the quantum machine... mine delivers its performance in packets (and very small one at that)..

I'm actually involved with some people looking to demonstrate useful, working quantum computing devices. Its a long haul, but QC is a brilliant way of doing the tasks we now do with Monte Carlo, but orders of magnitude faster. At least it will be when it works.

I was involved with applications of modular functors to QC, and I demand it of all my people. We have also replaced shared drives with linked SQUIDs. It makes my work area faster. I also require that everyone lunch in their own orgasmitrons, which they must build themselves.

Quantum Computing? It is a form of parallel computing, so the "Quantum/Parallel Computing" term is partly right. But are banks getting into the fundamental research of putting atoms together?

Oh dear ,very low standards.I'd only hire people who didn't need computers. They are a crutch for people who can't mentally generate random numbers or do numeric integration in their heads.
