Hi fishfillet,I'm afraid that u got to read everything that is mentioned in the LOS. Some like to read books and some just read the notes when they prepare for any tests/exams. I don't know what type u r. There r strong pros & cons for both ways. There r # of study guides available in the market. Choose the one that's better for u if u want to go with the study guides. Google with the key word 'cfa study guide' to learn abt the study guides and 'cfa forum' to discuss abt the exam. Good luck!-mathword

Don't buy the books, just get some good study materials. I can highly recommend the materials from Schweser (www.schweser.com)
