Have you guys heard of this company called Trendfund.com? This guy named Michael Parness (who goes by the nickname 'waxie') claims to "rule the markets." This is not a sham because he has been featured on CNNfn for his AMAZING ability to make money in the market. A membership to their website, Trendfund.com, costs around $400 a month (I was actually a member myself for a month) and gets you access to all his "calls and plays." According to the website, "his philosophy is that markets move due to human emotions - not lagging indicators like mathematical equations or complex statistical analysis..." I've seen first hand some of his money making calls, so this guy has at least some credibility. He is a real cocky SOB though; he always talks shit about everyone else (like other traders and analysts in the market); thinks he's some kind of stock market messiah. Personally, I'd love to see this guy fall hard on his ass. At any rate, I am curiuos to hear how many of you have heard of him and/or know about this stuff.

Never heard of him, but the description made me laugh. There is usually an inverse relationship between braggadocio and ability to make money. Any guy who is selling all his insight for $400 probably doesn't have a lot to offer.

Look at LTCM, all their brians and boasting did make them succesful money managers for a while but in the end it all blew up. Let him talk and put your $400 a month to better use. If you look at Warrent Buffet, probably the most succesful money manager ever, he does not spend his time boasting or badmouthing others (and he could very well do it). I'd reather give him my money than some guy that will probably disappear in a year or two when the markets prove him wrong. But hey that's just my opinion.
