Please rate "Applied Optimization with MATLAB Programming"

Dear all,I am talking about P. Venkataraman 's book..."Applied Optimization with MATLAB Programming", 2001.Did you find this book satisfactory (well written, good examples, and as the title says with lots of matlab examples?)Are the applications interesting and problems well defined? How would you rate this book? Are there any other books with similar approaches that you can recomment?

I have used this book before, It is a very terse book on optimization and manages to give you the detailsin just a few pages. The accompanying matlab code is verbose and meant more for clarity of purpose than elegance. So its not a book to learn matlab programming!I would also suggest these two optimization books 12
