Consider moving now, but give yourself time to do some rigorous preparation before looking for a new job. If you want to get into a top house you will need to show you have top potential - you can only do this by performing well at interviews and the interviews for the leading players are tough. For IR exotics it has to be GS and JPM. MS and Lehman also seem to be competative. UBS are very much up there too.

Thx John!Do you have any suggestions on which head hunter to contact? I have a feeling that most of them won’t run crazy for someone that is coming from a small (and not so famous) house? Even if you are brilliant in what you do and have had large responsibility etc.. Or should I contact the firms directly?
