how many years of associate?

is typical for a front-desk quant in a top IB, before elevating to VP? thanks!

Depend on your profit generation.....Sales and trading is faster - I know someone who got promoted to Executive Director from Analyst in 5 years. But typical is 3-4 years after Associate from other division who do not directly involve P&L.
