Hi Folks,First of all, I have to mention this. In my search for "wisdom and light" in the dark world of finance, I found a place of guidance here I tried to search for my answer, but nothing came up. First a little background I have been developing financial software applications (specifically trading &p risk applications) for close to 6 years now. I love software and I love finance. I am a point in my career where I want to take myself furthur. What better than combining 2 things that I like. Software and finance. That led to me to investigate Computational Finance and Financial Engineering. I have liked what I have read till now(though will have to do some catching up some of the math). Due to circumstances, pursing the courses as full-time student is out of the question & due to my current location, Philadelphia, I have to investigate into looking for part-time or worse online courses.I have looked at local colleges around and none of them offer part-time Fin engg or Computational Finance. So that leaves me with Online.Sorry to take much of time, but here the meat of the it:1. Are there any online course for Fin Engg / Computational finance? I know Columbia has something but that's more on the Operation research side.(worth pursuing?). THe only other course I know of is Stevens Institutie of Technology(NJ). What are my options? Any part-time options?2. Is it even worth investing time and effort for online/part-time courses. Would it valued outside? What kind of jobs/companies/areas would I land in. I have big doubts about this. I would like to move to the modelling/pricing side of the business, hopefully on the buy side. Keeping that in mind would a part-time/online thing be useful. OR should I just go for the usual part time MBA/CFA.Any help or pointers in this would be greatly appreciated. Please help to un-confuse me
