Just what it sounds like. Trading frequently over short time horizons. Some hedge funds specialise in high-frequency stat arb, which relies on the assumption that statistical relationships are unlikely to change dramatically over a short time frame. The game here is to avoid getting eaten up by transaction costs, so you need to rent cheap bandwidth and negotiate low low low commissions.High frequency futures trading sounds like intra-day punting. The game here is to get lucky ...

"I saw this on the Jobs Board. What is high frequency trading?"What is it? It's my dream job Whoever gets that position, I would love to come work for him, and see if I can't help him to do whatever it is he does.As it is, I will do everything I can to make an utter failure out of him, and put him out of business He may have the capital, but time is on my side, grab those crumbs while you can, my friend MP
