Info on Countrywide Financial?

I noticed Countrywide Financial is putting several postings on the job sites. They are located in Calabasas, CA, close to LA. I am not familiar with them. Does anyone know anything about them?Any info would be helpful,ab1

are they "countrywide home loans" ?mortgage company from what I know, not sure what else they do

Countrywide Securities Corporation, part of Countrywide Capital Markets, is the place to go if you are doing MBS/ABS and interested in LA. It is run pretty much like a Wall Street shop, its sales and trading volumes are right there with the big boys. The downside is that it is on the west coast and it doesn't have the reputation like Bear or Lehman.
