hi..thinking of doing the warwick mba (in my early 30's) to broaden career from current role of being a portfolio manager, maybe get into some strategic management/business consultant role later on...like the warwick mba, good reputation, but cannot do the evening or modular course as based in london. It's that or the CFA whic i guess mayl restrict future career moves.... so thinking of doing their distance learning course...doe sanyone know if it is any good? and do employers turn theri nose up on distance learning?Is there any other good mba course? Imperial Exec? Cass? or is it just worth doing cfa? (a lot cheaper!)thkssilver

The leading DL schools in the UK right now would include: Warwick Strathclyde Henley Imperial Manchester Business School I know people who did the Warwick D/L course and rate it very highly.Two others worth considering are the Open Uni (gives more MBA's than all the other UK schools combined FT and DL) and Herriot Watt - which is very"hands off" in its approach and may suit if you loike the idea of exams only based assessment.All do well respected MBA's. Most of them give the same certificate as the full timers. Employers give (as would be expected) a mixed responce to D/L MBA's. some give you extra credit for holding down a FT job at the same time whilst others think it does not show the comittment that doing a FT course would do. So depends on the employers.If you're interested in strat management / consulting then an MBA will serve you very much better than the CFA qualification.
