If these sorts of coincidences fascinate you, you might enjoy this book. Not that I advocate theft, but it is short enough to read while standing the in bookstore aisle.MP

That link came up with "The Einstein Syndrome: Bright Children Who Talk Late".What are you trying to suggest: that we are geniuses waiting to be discovered? That playing trombone is the equivalent of being a late developer? That anyone that actively seeks out coincidences is a late developer? Or that Amazon's linking system isn't very good? I'm confused. Or do I have to read the book in order to understand!

Another double bassist and bas guitarist checks in. Trombones, double basses - we could start a big band. All we need is some trumpets, saxaphones, piano, guitar. Oh, and a drummer. But we won't find one of them here will we? I can see this thread taking a "musician / drummer" joke direction if we're not careful.

"I can see this thread taking a "musician / drummer" joke direction if we're not careful."A guy walks into a shop and says "How much for a set of steel-wound guitar strings?"Shopkeeper: "You must be a drummer"Guy :"How did you know that?"Shopkeeper: "This is a green-grocers."Boom-boom

Have we found a drummer? No, but you may have found the worst joke in the world. Sorry 'bout that.

How serindipitous , of all the instruments alto-sax, tenor sax , clarinet etc, i play the trombone .!Well I used to , till i started developing complications with my throat and my voice cracked and i was told by my guru i would lose my melody! ;-((So rather reluctantly i stopped playing , Do you sing? , why not have a quant band!!?I also play some eastern percussion at this point.
