It could be a very good job. BB have people like Peter Carr who is generally seen as one of the top people in QF.Work in his team and the smarter end of HH's would love to get you on their books in a couple of years.Unlike most vendors BB has of course good familiarity amongst those that may hire you. Many actively despise the quality of BB's stuff, but enough respect it to make selling you a lot easier.Of course BB is a vast entity, and you would need to know just where you'd be, and what you'd be doing. At the opposite end to being mentored by a guru is being one of the faceless drones who look after the vast amount of old crap that BB has built up over the years. My knowledge of them is mulitply sourced, but second hand. But I hear tales of vast old Fortran libs, ancient dialects of C (not C++), and a serious anmount of commerically important but technically awful subsystems that need to be kept working together.

I have checked the description for the post. Infact, it does not mention any Fortran coding or any of the old programming languages. it seems to require juniour quant developer who has C++ knowledge. this implies to me that the post is C++ oriented developing NEW FX option pricing models into the Bloomberg system.

Maybe it is new stuff in C++, certainly BB seems to be moving that way.But I have to tell you that just because X is not on the job advert, doesn't mean that X isn't there The integration work quoted may vary from using an interface library to having to write loads of code to transform stuff, and poring through code of highly variable quality written in old fashioned C and Fortran. "Refactoring" can mean a lot of different things, but will often be rewriting this code, which can be either good or bad. This isn't particularly a dig at BB, though they do seem to be on older technology than most banks, just mentioning the things to look out for.

slight problem with the Bloomberg interviews though..... on average, for such a role you can count on 5 consecutive 3hrs long interviews! They're barkind mad, in fact, they must must suffer from some sort of academy-envy syndrome!
