Basically: "When can you start?"They will probably ask if you know what value at risk (VAR) is, and maybe one other risk question depending on the area. A basic numerical trick-type question also probably, like "You have a big cube built up by a 10x10X10 of smaller cubes. If you remove a complete layer of the small cybes, how many small cubes are there then?" Anwser would be 8x8x8. Then some stuff on what middle office is, and what you want from a job there.I don't know about your aspirations. But I'm currently in a middle office role in credit derivatives. And if I could redo my job search I'd look harder for a front office job. But that is of course dependent on interest. Potentially the middle office role could also be a step towards a front office role, depends on employer.

Generally turn something around which is actually a strength, like "I am a bit of a perfectionist".Politicians are adept at these type of questions - to be honest they are a complete waste of HR time as most people wont answer straight or honest. But I guess you get a few idiots being too honest and blurping out that they cant get along with woman bosses or some other sh*t and thats why they do it.TJ you got a job yet??

One from bottom, one from top so there remains 8, one from front one from back so there remains 10 -2 == 8, one from left and one from right so there remains 8. That is, 8 x 8 x 8

Perhaps we need a frequently asked dumb interview questions.A rational technique is to declare that in all honesty, your skills in a certain area are quite mediocre.Of course you will have taken the trouble to understand the job, and these skills will be of little relevance

I mean you may not be very experienced in a particular area, but you are confident that you CAN DO. Does it work?
