Hey everybody,I need some good advice.do you know sth about the exotic teams in Bear Stearns London?Do u think it is better to start ur first job in exotics (and ur first job in ur life) in a "boutique" team like they seem to have, compared to the huge teams that exist in, say, DB?Thanks a lot for ur adviceCheers, Zebbo

What exactly are you interested in: quants, structures, traders or sales? Have you already had interview with them or just plan to apply?

Sorrry- i am interested in structuring and tradingI already interviewed and found the people very clever and I liked the fact that they were "understaffed". Those people have a lot of experience, so i guess i can learn a lot but i would be one of the few juniors there and i was wondering about what is a typical career path in this kind of team.ThxZ

The derivatives business in BS is one of the fastest growing areas. I joined BS (diff divn) in July - since then, they have hired 4 seniors and god knows how many junior people... and they are still understaffed. Exotics is at the head of all this. If I were you - contingent on a sensible offer, I would go for it. It is easier to make your mark in a smaller team - though might involve working harder, but if ur afraid of that... And Bear is a good name in the market, and would easily build up your brand value fast.
