just adding some questions here:My subjective impression and guess as an outsider is that, in general, hedge funds tend to look for experienced quants, as it is a more entrepreneurial environment than the big banks. One probably needs a rare combination of trading analysis skills and do-it-yourself attitude. But, I'd really like to hear the inside view: Is there a flow of experienced brain power from banks to HF or vice-versa ? Any parallel effects to the late '90s IT start-up hysteria ?By the way, has anybody heard of the swiss hedge fund Olsen Ltd, who is willing to comment from the career perspective point of view for entry-level postgrad quants ?Apart from this, I've started stocking up my wardrobe with bermuda's to prepare a eventual life on the "same name" isle. after Mobpsycho's hallelujah on an off-shore HF in another thread, Bboy
