If Italy pulls out of the Euro or the probability of the Italy pulling out of the Euro increases will the Euro fall or increase following this news....I suspect it may rise but I guess it depends on if other countries follow suit or not...Having said will a Euro comprising of just Germany, Fance Spain, Benelux and the East european contingent be enough to keep it going???Following on from this,...how as a private investor, can I position my assets successfully to profit from an increase likelihood of italy pulling out of Euro.....

Depends whether you think Italy is a net positive on the Euro economy!

Forced? Are you kidding? If euro will collapse it will collapse altogether, not just because of a single country. Its more politics than economics that makes joining euro an irreversible decision. So its not wise to bet money on pure speculation and petty-political rumours.

What's your market on the digital "Italy leaves the Euro within 5 years"?I could be a seller of that option. Even without hedge, it's a good prop position.Maybe you would like to buy the Independance of California too? I've heard some weird speculation on that one too.;pAre you seriously looking to profit from such a situation? It seems pretty far-fetched, and there are a lot of other (more probable) political situations at hand to spiel on.
