It seems that "Heard on the Street" by Falcon Crack (now at Otago) has sold some 10000 units worldwide.I think what's interesting here is that he seems to self-publish.Going back to my old question regarding whether an author could make decent money out of writing derivatives books, perhaps Crack has found the holy grail. The book peddles for $40. I don't know, but let´s say that he keeps $20 after all expenses are deducted. That's $200000 in the bank.Of course, the absolute key here is how do you promote a book from your living room. Crack seems to be everywhere.Any suggestions from you guys? What are the costs of self-publishing? How do you spread the word?
