Hi all,I was looking for a summer intern position in Quantitative fields... I tried to apply online from MS and GS websites...But I just could not which program shall I apply to...For example, on MS website:There are the following 4 programs using the investment banking titles... Analyst/Jr.Associate Associate Summer Analyst/Jr.Associate Summer Associate And then: I have to choose only 3 divisions out from the following 7 divisions... Consolidated Equities Fixed Income Public Finance Research Investment Management Private Wealth Management Investment Banking ----------------------How do I know which ones have the Quant positions?Thanks a lot

GS is the same situation:There is a drop-down listbox in the application form with the following choices(I list only a few):Equities,Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities,Finance,Global Investment Research,Investment Management,Investment Banking, ...And I am only allowed to choose two divisions to apply to...How do I know where are the Quant positions?Thanks again!

Most surely in Equity & Fixed Income - although Investment Management may contain the internal hedge fund that does pretty serious stuff indeed!

For GS, quants are called "strategists". Most of them are in either FICC or Equities. Remember, quants never form a seperate business line!
