Language skills ?
Are there any quant type jobs out there where fluency in several (european) languages is a distinct advantage ? Or would rather fluency in english + 1 exotic language (as defined with the western bias: japanese, arab,...) be a niche to position yourself as an indispensable global capital market employee ? Does native english matter in London/NY?Bboy

My limited experience says that for trading and quant research you mainly need to speak english. Paris might be the only exception. For a sales position you will probably need to speak the local language. regards, Anton
