But, I have seen people who who worked with Ernst and Young in the past and switched into something way better after 2-3 years of experience. I think the market is cooling down too and most firms are going to have hiring cap, at least until 1 Q of 2008.

QuoteOriginally posted by: tangkeweiThanks for your input vbprogrammer. Are their interview process similar to IB?They will guage you based on communication skills and presentation skills as well. I am not sure if your work will entail meeting clients; should that be the case, then it would definetly involve what I just mentioned. They might ask you brain teasers (simple ones like flip of coins, etc) and go through your resume. If you have programming skills in Matlab, C++ ( more the better) then it is a huge plus. The bar of getting into the firm shall be lower than some of the reputabable banks. If it is your first job, then it will be good business experience. Since I do not know your background or for that matter even know you, my judegement about the experiene is more of general kind. It is possible that you have what it takes to be anywhere in the finance industry, in which case, you might find this job somewhat not challenging.
