March 5th, 2003, 7:53 pm

Hello everyone,I wonder if anyone here has recently been on the Optiver aptitude tests and would be willing to give any advice. I have it on Monday and don't really know what to expect. I have found one thread on this site that touches on it but would really appreciate more details.I would be grateful for any advice given. Thanks

I have one of the final round Optiver interview tomorrow...about 2 weeks ago I did the Optiver aptitude test. My advice:Test1 : Speed maths tests ...questions fairly simple just need to be quick....make sure you practice questions like0.002 - 0.0002 and 178-23 etc....write up your own tests and make sure you time yourself....the idea is to be able to look at the question and choose the correct answer without thinkingYou have 80 questions and 8 mins total time (Pass mark is 55)Test 2: Is much the same thing but they are testing your ability to look at the same thing in different ways e.g.(176543 + 65432) / (65432 + 176543) , 27 / 3 = a) 18/2 b)9.5 c) 19 d) 8 etcHere you have 40 questions and 20 mins total time (time shouldn't be a problem here)Test\3 : Sequences and series26 questions and 30 mins time (Pass mark 20)Practice at these types of questions should get you throughGood Luck
