Hi all,Can some one please let me know what is the position of an "executive" at a UK investment bank. How does it compare to an analyst or an associate rank. Thanks.

These things vary a lot.But in general (and oddly) "executive" typically means someone on one of the highest levels in the bank, or right at the bottom.Rarely means the bulk of people in between.

Bud: "I'm an account executive, Dad."Dad: "You call up strangers, and ask them for money? You're a salesman."

It's typically even worse than that.An account executive takes sales orders from a client, but does not seek new customers.Account assistant asks strangers for money.

Related question: What's an Executive Director? I've seen this title in an IB. Where does this fit in relation to a VP or an MD?
