Saw some of the Players Championship last weekend - my new favorite - Alex Cejka.Born in Czech Republic, now from Germany."No golfer at The Players Championship ever led by five strokes after three rounds before Alex Cejka on Saturday. After five holes Sunday, he didn't lead at all. The German who started the day as the one to catch quickly played himself into catch-up position. Playing in a Sunday final group with the outright lead for the first time in his PGA Tour career, Cejka started with a bogey. He struggled to a double at No. 4 and then added three more bogeys to make the turn at 5 under despite starting the day at 11 under. His front nine score of 6-over 42 was worse than all but two other golfers Sunday -- and Boo Weekley didn't even bother to finish after his 44. For the tournament, Cejka finished at 4 under and tied for ninth. "I wasn't nervous," Cejka said. "I was playing well. I just got really, really unlucky." Historic rise, fall for third-round leader Cejka - The St Augustine Record May 11
