Hello,Anyone skilled with R Statistic Package (version 2.1.1), particularly on R DCOM installation?I have installed R-2.1.1 and DCOM version 1.35 (=RSrsv135.exe). But it does not launch the DCOM server. Its erroring when I click Start connection, the following error message appears in connection console: <<< Text: installation problem: unable to load connector >>> and a small message box opens up saying << Method '~' of object '~' failed >> . Anyone familiar with this problem in R DCOM server, please respond, your help will be much appreciated. Thanks a lot !,

Take a look over google, but I believe you're suppose to install something before using Dcom.

Thanks a lot for the response! There is indeed a lot available through Google, the problem is none of the available stuff I have seen addresses this particular problem. But I’m looking further on Google to see if I can find a solution to this or to a similar problem. In case you get any thoughts on this, please don't hesitate to drop a line. Thanks, S.

If you can, upgrade to R version 2.8.1 as R 2.1.1 is almost 4 yrs old now and anything you'll download to fix your problem may be incompatible. Upgrade R, then try again.
