what will be expected in an interview for trading jobs

March 15th, 2009, 11:06 pm

i'm wondering if people who have been interviewers or interviewees for this kind of interviews (for experienced hires) shed some light on this questionis it appropriate for an interviewer to ask an interviewee (having been working in the area for a while) the details of his/her strategies?it's a common sense that traders rarely talk about strategies even among close colleagues. should an interviewer ask for that?but if the interviewers don't ask for that, how do they judge interviewees?

ok to talk about strategies that every trader in te industry knows about. the only improper thing to ask is about the proprietary strategies specifically used in your old firm.
