LOL! Someone finally gets an answer to their urgent question over a decade after they asked it.

Someone finally gets an answer to their urgent question over a decade after they asked it.I hope they solved the problem earlier:You are only allowed to take certain specified calculators to the exam (and yes, they check and when I took it put a sticker onthe calculator)One of them ( the Texas Instruments BA II Plus calculator edouard mentioned) requires a screwdriver (which appears on the list of approved items for the exam) to change the battery and you don't want to be doing that in an exam(the HP 12C & the TI BA II Plus Professional however does allow battery changes with just fingers). On tactic was to take a spare calculator rather than a spare battery to save timeThere's a battery booth (too small to be called a store, usually just a counter) in the malls around here, pretty pricey but they have most every sort of battery so if you can't find a packet in the dollar store or walmart, you head there
