User Groups for quants in Melbourne/Australia

Hi,I am kind of new in the area of quantitative finance, I am currently undergoing my PhD in Computer science/Econometrics.I have found it pretty hard to get in contact with experts in this field, Does anyone one know of any user groups for quants/Risk Guru’s in Australia-Melbourne!!ThanksHabib

Dont know if this is the type of info you are seeking. But there is group called the Q group which consists of academics and professionals who work in quantitative research/applications. www.qgroup.org.au
