How would one go about finding job in London while based in New York? Is it hard to do this?

The difficulty would generally be based on your visa needs but going through a headhunter is your best bet of securing an interview. Shoot for a phone interview first and then if they have a NYC office you could maybe get to interview there of via VC for latter interviews but ultimately you'd generally need to go to London for the final ones.
