I've only studied 5 years of French in school, but this looks like a retail oriented execution position. More button pushing than trading really.

And then french banks ask why everybody want to go in NYC or London ... The income without bonuses a young skilled trader (so not everybody) with a few years of experience is 75k? without bonuses. Exemple Kerviel was paid 60 k? before he messed up.

With 22Ke it's almost impossible to live in Paris. You have to go deep in the suburbs. If you want to live in Paris I would say that 30ke (net after taxes) is the lower limit.

The important thing is not the initial salary, but potential longer term compensation including bonuses. I would suspect that in this job you dont learn useful skills, but it might not be as bad as some here suspect.

No, Italy. The entry level (in finance, after internship) is less than 30kEur gross, probably half of what one could make in London. And for sarkozyland I'd have said snaileatersland. And the equivalent of sarkozyland is berlusconia.

Yes they are. I got an offer (not by a bank) and indeed the money was good (same offer that I got by a bank in London). But I think Zurich is even more expensive than London, BTW.One big plus is that you can travel by train back and forth between Milan and Zurich quite comfortably.

Try Geneva in CH and then live in Savoie in France (10s km away). You will earn 3 times the french salary with a cost of live 2 times less than in CH so it's good (a lot of people are doing that actually).
