Financial CV editing service

Hi guys,Do you guys know of any website or service which would specifically tailor one's CV for financial industry? I have recently applied for some job vacancies as quant developer and I have not received any single response from any of them.I assume there must be something very very wrong with my CV. I have even applied for junior positions as well but no response. While I am pretty sure the market is quite competitive and a lot of competitive applicants are applying at the same time which I am applying I cannot really understand that not a single firm responds back. It must be me and my CV. This is my conclusion. Could anyone here help?

Just post it here, but maybe anonymise some details. There might not be anything wrong with it - recruitment is very quiet at the moment.

The stupid is thing I keep receiving emails about new available positions from both jobserve and CWJobs . I guess these positions are not valid or all the applications which they receive are from young Einsteins. I cannot really figure this out and I am quite puzzled.

I think is a real bad moment to look for a position at least in London

As has been discussed on this forum before, many of these job advertisements might not be for real jobs. I also don't think you need to posit any 'young Einsteins' as the reason for you not getting any follow-ups. The global risk-off and financial sector bloodbath that is currently unfolding provides ample explanation.

post it here, people are gonna help. might be a good idea to anonymize it just enough so that a google search for your name by your future interviewer does not lead to exactly that page where people are telling you just how stupid your CV is ;-)

What I don't understand is why would someone go through the pain of writing a nice job spec with hefty payments which does not exist at all(Or perhaps it did at some point but no longer available)? Is this only for the sake of collecting information and building a nice archive of good cv's or what? If you look at a lucrative website like millarassociates you get an idea of what I am saying. Do banks and financial institutes really fall for this scam website? What is going on in the head of this website owner?

I am sure that Dominic would be able to fill you in about all this much better than me, but a brief digest of what I have read on the subject is as follows. Fake adverts might appear for the following reasons:- Recruiters fishing for CVs/contacts, or even just phone calls where they can try to extract information about who is at a firm (eg. 'So who is the head of your current group?' and manifold variations on the theme)- Other firms fishing for fake interviews where they can extract intelligence without the intention of offering a job (apparently rare but not unheard of).- As far as I know, there can sometimes be disconnect between what a hiring manager thinks and what HR think, which can mean that some jobs are non-starters. eg. advertising for a job that does not have funding clearance (and may never get it). However this alone does not explain why you have absolutely 0 replies. So I would follow the advice of others and just post a non-traceable version of your CV here.

Do you have a few years relevant experience successfully doing the type of job which you are applying for?
