have you heard about CIIA ?
While I was surfing on the website of the SFAF (french association for financial analyst) I saw that they proposed a formation called "Certified International Investment Analyst" and I was wondering if any of you have already heard about it? http://www.aciia.org/files/CIIA_Brochure_Jan09.pdfI think that this formation is a joke (compared to CFA) but I wanted to hear your opinion. EDIT: I have seen also CHP (Certified Hedge Fund professional), FRM (financial risk manager),Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and CFP (certified finance planner).So in fact the question is simply : How many of them ?

never heard of it. Robert Jarrow is listed in some capacity or other, which surprised meI notice that they don't have national societies in the US, Canada or UK

pretty much all certifications are shit for the certifyees.the certifiers make money of course.you only need a certification if your accomplishments cant speak for themselves...

CIIA is kind of European equivalent to CFA. I decided to try earning the CFA charter as I guess it is internationally much more recognized. Seems correct looking at the statements above...
