job interview and alcohol

January 19th, 2013, 1:38 pm

You are appointed at 11:00am for a job interview. You then meet two people, say one manager and a manager+.By 12:00pm you are invited to lunch with both interviewers as you are due to continue the interviewing process in the afternoon with the RH girl (hopefully, she looks great). At the restaurant, you are asked first: "What do you want to drink?"Do you rather order a beer (but you fear that's bad for your image), a glass of milk (but, you feel ridiculous; and you are), or something in 'between'? Or, maybe that is not relevant at all?

I bet you are from England. That question would not occur to anyone in the USA. It will be water or Coke.

Oh Bearish. Perrier is a good idea! That's 'neutral'.I mean there just can be NO better idea than ppauper's one, but that wouldn't be decent in the context I describe.

How about Altamirano's bottled water? It actually helps battle global warming. Insist on having the waiter wear white gloves when he pours it.Altamirano

QuoteOriginally posted by: edouardNo, France, that is worse.Isn't 'Un ptit pichet ?' the right answer then ? QuoteOriginally posted by: capafan2Why do you emphasize "Regular". "Diet" would look bad???Regular coke could send the message that you are a coffee and sweets addict using sugar to fuel your brain. Diet coke suggests that you care about your appearance ?Cherry coke indicates that you are a value investor.[/sarcasm]
