nope, wasn't me. i'm proofreading a cv and the guy stayed at the same school for 10 years. After about five he decided to quit his degree and then immediately enrolled in some other program using some of the credits earned in his old degree. He finished this new program (a european-style combined BA/MA hybrid) now successfully.I'm wondering what is the most intelligent way to phrase this in the cv without coming off too much as a quitter while staying factually correct?-CM

The resume that goes to the interviewers can "hide" some info, for instance start the first degree he dropped out of; that way no one will know he spent 10 years.But the resume that goes into the system through HR has to have dates accurate to the nearest month.

You list accomplishments, not tryouts (unless such tryouts took you a lot of time or what you learned was useful). At least in the US, you should not state the date you were born, to avoid age discrimination (more like to minimize it, you might be discriminated later anyyway as they will see you sooner or later if they want to interview you).M
