Is it possible to enter IB through Graduate program as an Associate?

Lehman Brothers, BarCap and Credit Suisse offer graduate program for PhD Associates.For other banks, for instance, JP Morgan and Bank of America, they don't hire PhD quants through graduate program - they use recruiting agencies. But once hired, you should be placed as an Associate.
